Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946 in Queens to Frederick Trump, a builder and real estate developer and his wife Mary Mac Leod Trump whom he married in 1936. He worked with his father for five years, where they were busy making deals together. Mr. Trump has stated, “My father was my mentor and I learned a tremendous amount about every aspect of the construction industry from him.” Likewise, Fred C. Donald Trump Child Stories

The Privileged childhood

Donald Trump was an energetic and assertive child and his worried parents sent him to the New York Military Academy at 13, hoping the school would channel his energy in a more positive manner. The school’s discipline did do him good and Trump went on to earn academic honors and even played in the varsity football and baseball teams, the latter of which he captained in 1964.

Donald trump be a teenagers boy like others too, he learned how to work had in order to meet his interest that’s what he had learned from his father.  Even he comes from wealthy
family, he still had completed the degree as wish by his father.
After graduating from NYMA he attended Fordham University but only spent two years there before transferring to the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania were he graduated in 1968 with a degree in Economics.

In 1974 Donald Trump became president of his father’s organization. During the 15 years following his ascension, he expanded and innovated the corporation, buying and branding buildings, golf courses, hotels, casinos, and other recreational facilities. In 1980 he established The Trump Organization to oversee all of his real estate operations.

Young Donald was lucky in that his father was wealthy, and a good strong role model for his children. But, credit is most definitely due to Donald for running with the ball. These days it is all too common for the jealous little people to cry that Trump was lucky and therefore should not be listened to, however, most children who are born to wealth don't achieve much at all and when it comes to light that Donald made a lot more money that his father ever dreamed of, says a lot about Donald Trump and his work ethic.
Donald Trump grew up assisting his father in his business ventures. Trump had a very comfortable childhood and was sent to a military academy where he learned discipline and completed his middle education. In military school he learned the true meaning of competition and how aggressive you must be to get what you want.

While assisting his father Trump realized he did not like the rougher aspects of his father's business. Some of the jobs he did not like included rent collecting and the physical labor involved. Trump had a great interest in real estate and decided he would like to be involved in the Real Estate business but at a larger scale than his father had ever been. He studied finance at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School because of this.
During his college years, Donald Trump and his father decided to purchase an apartment complex in Ohio which was in bankruptcy. The purchase of this complex is striking because they obtained financing above the purchase price so they could do the necessary remodeling to the run down complex.

The development purchased by Donald Trump with his father’s aid was called Swifton Village, a 1,200 unit apartment in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was purchased at a foreclosure sale for less than $6 million and sold within a year and half for about $12 million dollars. Without a penny of their own invested they were able to turn the apartment complex around by taking a strict approach at rent collection and by remodeling the appearance of the complex.

Trump was able to see how the government would assist buyers in purchasing property with little or no financial backing. And best of all how do get such aid. This incident was the beginnings of the Donald Trump we know. This event proved to be the single most important lesson Donald Trump learned
Trump have been strongly influenced by his father in his decision to make a career in real estate development, but the younger man's personal goals were much grander than those of his father. After graduating college, Trump joined the family business, the Trump Organization. In 1971 Trump moved his residence to Manhattan, where he became familiar with many influential people. Convinced of the economic opportunity in the city, Trump became involved in large building projects in Manhattan that would offer opportunities for earning high profits, utilizing attractive architectural design, and winning public recognition.

Building an empire as an Entrepreneur

In 1974 Trump obtained an option on one of the Penn Central's hotels, the Commodore, which was unprofitable but in an excellent location near Grand Central Station. The next year he signed a partnership agreement with the Hyatt Hotel Corporation, which did not have a large downtown hotel. Trump then worked out a complicated deal with the city to revamp the hotel. Renamed the Grand Hyatt, the hotel was popular and an economic success, making Trump the city's best known and most controversial developer.
In 1977 Trump married Ivana Zelnickova Winklmayr, a New York fashion model who had been an alternate on the 1968 Czech Olympic Ski Team. After the birth of the first of the couple's three children in 1978, Donald John Trump, Jr., Ivana Trump was named vice president in charge of design in the Trump Organization and played a major role in supervising the renovation of the Commodore.

Trump also purchased a Hilton Hotels casino-hotel in Atlantic City when the corporation failed to obtain a gambling license and renamed the $320 million complex Trump's Castle. Later, while it was under construction, he was able to acquire the largest hotel-casino in the world, the Taj Mahal at Atlantic City, which opened in 1990.
Trump’s near-fall

In 1990 the real estate market declined and the value of income of Trump’s empire was drastically decreased. His net worth was cut down by almost two-thirds from $1.7 billion to $500 million. Trump eventually found himself in serious financial trouble.

Due to excessive leveraging, The Trump Organization revealed that it was $5 billion in debt ($8.8 billion by some estimates), with $1 billion personally guaranteed by Trump him. The Trump Organization required massive loans to keep it from collapsing. The situation that raised questions is whether the corporation could survive bankruptcy. Some observers saw Trump's decline as symbolic of many of the business, economic, and social excesses from the 1980s.

The survival of the company was made possible only by a bailout pact agreed by some 70 banks, allowing Trump to defer on nearly $1 billion in debt, as well as to take out second and third mortgages on almost all of his properties. If it were not for the collective effort of all banks and parties involved in that 1990 deal, Trump’s business would have gone bankrupt and failed.

Only a massive infusion of loans kept it from collapsing, and just when everybody had counted him out Trump brought his company back, coming close to worth $2 billion in 1997. However, he climbed back from nearly $900 million in the red: Donald Trump was reported to be worth close to $2 billion in 1997.
In 2004 Trump began starring in the NBC reality series The Apprentice, which quickly became a hit. In later years the show began showcasing celebrities as contestants under the revised name The Celebrity Apprentice

Donald Trump Attitude and Business stories

From the moment of his birth, Trump was set up for success. The large inheritance left to him by his father, coupled with the contributions and the protections of society and the US government made his ascension to the Forbes 400 list almost inevitable. Nevertheless, Trump fails to recognize this phenomenon and continues to express his belief that he did it alone.

The weird thing about Donald Trump is, as much as he tried to be a figure of ridiculous fun and shrug of gossip, lie as he did about things large and small, Trump appears to be an enormously skilled developer even though he has very poor investment strategies. Donald

Trump’s early rise came about as the result of timely speculation and not because of his deal making strategies. His aggression and one-sided focus are what allowed him to break down the existing barriers to obtain his goals of becoming successful as a developer.
Donald Trump is known as the all American real estate developer. All his developments and projects have been new, original, modern, and inspiring. Donald Trump was one of the first developers to incorporate an indoor waterfall as a back wall to a restaurant which can be found at the Trump Plaza.

Donald Trump breaks the rules of construction and development but always seems to manage to do the right thing. Trump’s actions have always proven to be one of the most reckless and aggressive approaches a real estate developer has ever shown.

Buying buildings, casinos, and property just because he can conceive the idea of ownership in his head proves he may be a little bit crazy. This proves Trump’s personal self gratification and not his intelligence is what has made him millions. This strange quality which Trump possesses has given him the edge he has needed and needs to keep going. Trump’s strive for greatness has pushed him to become the national emblem that represents cocky wealth.
Donald Trump didn’t always have it this easy. Even though Trump’s first investment had great success he was not satisfied. Donald decided it was important for him to be on his own.

Trump always had his sights set on New York City. Trump believed New York City would be his gold mine. Always keeping his eyes open for the right investment. He decided these steps would be very important in making a name for him.
Donald Trump’s ultimate show of power was when he built the Trump Tower, on Fifth Avenue.

This project was what finally provided him with the national attention he had dreamed of for so many years. It contained a mixture of stores and million-dollar apartments; this building became Donald Trump’s trademark. Trump Tower brought forth masses of tourist and was his final show of what great financial success is.

When competitors tried to beat him out of the market and lowered their prices he simply raised them. Donald did not once lower his prices. He felt that affluent people, which were the market he was trying to attract, would not be concerned with price. This proved he had the ability to understand the psychology of the wealthy. Donald Trump had found his niche and was going to exploit if for as long as he could.

During Trump’s near bankruptcy problems the big New York banks were not too far behind. They had lent fortunes to Trump, without paying sufficient attention to where profits would be coming from or how tight an operation Trump was really running.
Donald Trump was very smart with dealing with people but until he learns to control himself and focus history may repeat itself. Trump’s aura and image lures many people to invest in his ventures. This blinding affect although great for Trump and his ventures can be deadly to investors.
